FAQ

Questions, answered

Everything people ask before their first show. If it's not here, email us.

Where exactly is the club?

Inside L'Wren, 4004 5th Ave in Sunset Park, Brooklyn. Walk in the front door of the bar and keep going — the comedy room is in the back. There's no separate entrance and no marquee out front.

What time should I get there?

Doors open 30 minutes before showtime. Seating is general admission, so the earlier you get there the better your seat. Shows are Thursday and Friday at 8:00 PM and Saturday at 7:00 PM.

How much are tickets?

$5–$12. Each show has a few $5 super early bird and $10 early bird tickets, then $12 general admission — get them on Eventbrite. There's also a one-item minimum per person: anything off L'Wren's food or drink menu.

What's a one-item minimum?

Everybody in the room orders at least one thing — a cocktail, a beer, a soda, an order of tots. It's how the bar makes the room work, and it's how we keep the tickets cheap. It does not have to be alcohol.

Can I refund or exchange my ticket?

Refunds are available through Eventbrite up to 7 days before the show. Request one from your Eventbrite order.

Is there an age limit?

21+ with valid ID. It's a bar, so there's no way around it.

Can I walk up without a ticket?

Yes, whenever we have room — but the room is small and weekends sell out. Buying on Eventbrite is the only way to be sure you get in.

Can I book it for a birthday or a work thing?

Yes. L'Wren's back room does private events with or without a comedy show attached. Email us the date and headcount and we'll put something together.

Is the room accessible?

Email us before you come and we'll walk you through exactly what the entrance, the room, and the restrooms look like so there are no surprises at the door.

Can I get on stage?

We book working comics and we're always looking. Send tape and a short note about what you've been doing to sunsetparkcomedyclub@gmail.com. We don't run bringer shows — you don't have to bring anybody.

Is there parking?

Street parking in this stretch of Sunset Park is genuinely doable most nights. The R train at 36th or 45th St is the easy option if you'd rather not think about it.
